STILL ON DAY 3 OF 19
Leaving Ribeauvillé, we hit the road again for a 10-minute drive through more vineyards to the medieval town of Riquewihr, apparently known as “the most romantic and beautiful village of France”. Beautiful half-timbered houses date back to the 15th century and cute courtyards are embellished with decorative fountains. Strolling through the town you’ll see the Thieves Tower (former prison), the Dolder Tower (13th century defensive gate) and the Sinne Fountain (16th century fountain used to clean barrels used by winemakers).
